Resilience and adaptation to coastal change across communities
Communities and coastlines are under threat from diverse hazards, such as extreme weather, sea level rise, and population growth.
Join an interdisciplinary team addressing these challenges through a unique multi-institution Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program hosted by East Carolina University on their Outer Banks Campus. Work with faculty from ECU, Clemson University, and the University of Puerto Rico – Arecibo and learn how to work with a remote team of collaborators – an essential element of modern science!
What is an REU program?
Sponsored by the National Science Foundation, REU’s create paid summer opportunities for undergraduate to take part in authentic research activities. Participants in this REU will join a cohort of other students and committed faculty who will help them to ask questions, develop a research plan, and discover new skills and knowledge!
Participants will receive a $6000 stipend for 10 weeks plus cost of living and travel expenses.
