ECU awarded first ever NRT grant for CCEDS program!
The National Science Foundation Research Traineeship (NRT) program is one of the nation’s most important and competitive opportunities for supporting graduate students to work at the cutting edge of science and engineering fields.
We are proud to announce that the Coastal Community and Environmental Data Science (CCEDS) Scholars program is the first NRT award ever made to ECU! The program is focused on training graduate students to apply data science methods to solving real-world problems faced by communities in coastal regions. The Water Resources Center will partner with the Integrated Coastal Science PhD program and Interdisciplinary Doctoral Program in Biology, Biomedicine, and Chemistry to make training opportunities in the CCEDS program available to all graduate students at ECU who are interested in defining new ways to apply data science for the benefit of society.
