Unlearning Racism in Geoscience (URGE) is a national program sponsored by the National Science Foundation to promote nation-wide discussions around research and practices relating to racism, accessibility, justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (AJEDI) in academia and the geosciences.  All viewpoints are welcomed to join the WRC’s URGE POD to discuss academic literature and personal experiences relating to racism in higher education, with a focus on geoscience and field-science related disciplines. ALL PEOPLE AND VIEWPOINTS ARE WELCOME TO JOIN THE DISCUSSION.

The WRC is committed to providing unbiased and open forums supporting academic freedom of thought, expression, and research at ECU on all topics, including research-informed conversations about the nature of the academic and societal context within which our faculty, students, and staff learn and work.
